Sergio Pérez took victory in a thrilling Monaco GP filled with drama and chaos throughout.

Unexpected downpours of rain saw the FIA delay the race start before the race resumed under a rolling start in wet conditions. 

Team strategy was vital, with Pérez flawlessly executing the two-stop to get the jump on the Ferrari pairing running in P1 and P2. 

Carlos Sainz feels Nicholas Latifi impeding him on his out-lap cost him the chance to undercut Pérez and take the win, whilst Charles Leclerc was fuming after poor strategy saw him plummet from first to fourth.

There were several strong performances in the midfield, with Russell, Norris and Alonso leading their teams in the 'best of the rest' positions behind the Red Bull and Ferrari pairing.

Lewis Hamilton's Monaco GP was a frustrating one, making contact with Esteban Ocon after gambling on the intermediate tyre, costing him track position and vital points. 

The Frenchman was penalised for this incident, relegating him outside of the points after crossing the line in P9. 

Sebastian Vettel and Valtteri Bottas were the beneficiaries of this, coming home as the only points finishers for their respective teams.
