Lewis Hamilton's 2022 season has been a frustrating one, with the Briton's results not matching up with his generally strong performances. 

George Russell is yet to finish below 5th this year and has already tallied two podiums in his debut season with Silver Arrows. In a sport where teammate comparisons are everything, the 7-time Champion will no doubt be frustrated with the points deficit to his teammate. 

It is true that Hamilton has been experimenting with set-up as Mercedes try to catch up to Red Bull and Ferrari, but it would be unfair to suggest Russell hasn't also made sacrifices in this regard. 

Still, looking beyond the points tally, Lewis Hamilton has shown decent pace this season, a sentiment echoed by Toto Wolff when speaking to gpfans:
