Charles Leclerc took his fourth consecutive Pole Position at Baku, ahead of the Red Bull duo of Perez and Verstappen in a hectic qualifying session.

The Monegasque put himself at the front of the grid in his final run of the session, displacing his teammate Carlos Sainz and outqualifying the Spaniard for the eighth time this season. 

George Russell put together a solid lap to qualify in P5, maximising his W13 as Mercedes returns to the midfield battle. Lewis Hamilton will be frustrated to finish behind his teammate in P7.

The Alpha Tauri pairing of Gasly and Tsunoda continued their impressive pace from Friday Practice, securing P6 and P8 grid slots respectively and putting themselves in an excellent position to take points in the Grand Prix.

Currently sitting 7th in the constructors, Alpha Tauri has a chance to create some distance between themselves and Haas, as the American outfit continued their poor form and failed to get into Q2 with either Magnussen or Schumacher.

Vettel was one of the stand-out drivers from qualifying, leading Aston Martin into another Q3 appearance whilst his teammate Lance Stroll found himself in the wall and unable to qualify for Q2.

McLaren just missed out on the top 10 shootouts, but will surely be in contention for points provided they avoid any reliability issues or strategic mishaps.

Guanyu Zhou will be pleased to qualify ahead of Bottas for the first time this season, though the Chinese driver was unhappy with his final effort in Q2.
